News (2006)

Here are a number of events that have been happened in the parish, in the year 2006  (with the most recent event at the top).

The Passover Meal

The Passover Meal on Maundy Thursday was full to capacity and was an enjoyable experience.  (All tickets had been allocated well before the day.)  The evening consisted of retelling and remembering the first Passover and the meal Jesus shared with all the disciples the night before he was crucified.  All ages were present and took part.  Special thanks go to the Valley Farm Home Group for organising the evening and those who prepared the meal and brought deserts.

Celebrating the World Cup

A big screen was set up in the church hall and primary school for the England World Cup games.  At half time we had a bit more than oranges to eat!

Everyone rushes to get pizza at half time!

Young and old gathered - I'll leave you to guess which of the two is in this picture!

Bring & Share Lunch - 23rd April

One of our regular bring and share lunches was held on St George's Day.  I wonder what those grumpy men are waiting for!  Their meal?  Or their women!

The Passover Meal

Our 2nd Passover meal was held on Maundy Thursday (13th April) at the church hall.  Over 50 people came and enjoyed the meal commemorating Jesus' last meal before his death and resurrection.   If it's held again you better be quick at getting your tickets because it was a really great experience.
